Shiv Jayanti Celebrations at Chandigarh: ​Justice Mrs. Daya Chaudhary was the Chief Guest

On the occasion of Maha Shivratri a special program was organised by Brahma Kumaris Chandigarh at Rajyoga Bhawan, Sector 33-A on Monday, 4th March 2019 in the morning. After the murli class Prabhat Pheri was organised to spread the message of baba with contingent of 1500 BKs walking around 4 km in the city.

After that a beautiful programme of Felicitation of some dignitaries of the city was there followed by Flag Hoisting of Shiv Baba.

Hon’ble Justice Mrs. Daya Chaudhary, Punjab & Haryana High Court was the Chief Guest of the event.

In the evening a public program was organised in which around 500 souls received the message of Spiritual Significance of  MahaShivRatri

Brahmakumaris mark Shivratri
with message of peace, harmony

Eminent citizens of region honoured, as stress is laid on purity of soul at day-long event; awareness programmes that had started a month ago conclude with a 3-km walk at the Brahmkumaris Centre

Chandigarh Shivratri is not a festival that we can celebrate a single day in a year at out places of worship. It is a concept and connection with all-supreme god that continues all through our lives, with this though, Brahmkumaris celebrated the festival of Shivrari at its regional centre on Monday. The day also marked the conclusion of month-long programmes for Shivratri by the Brahmakumaris in Chandigarh and the surrounding region.

The programmes saw 25 centres of the organization and around 1,000 people associated with these, called Brahmkumaris, spread the message of Shiv Baba. On Monday early morning, around 1,500 Brahmakumaris marched through Sectors 32 and 33 for around 3km with the message of Shiv.

At the Rajyoga Bhawan in Sector 33, a small function was organized to honour prominent personalities like Dr Pam Rajput, former chairperson, high-level Committee on the Status of Women, Government of India; Paramjit Singh, director, Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Chandigarh; Ram Kumar Garg, founder, Second Innings Association (SIA),Chandigarh. Others honoured were renowned social worker and RTI activist, Dr Sanjeev Kamboj, president & founder, Udham, NGO, Chandigarh; Sadhna Sanger, president, ‘WE’, a group of women artists in Chandigarh and Dr Anuradha Sharma, founder, Humari Kaksha, Chandigarh.

Brahmkumari Bhrata Amir Chand, national vice-person, social wing, Brahma Kumaris director, Brahma Kumaris north zone,  said, “We need to lay stress on understanding the real meaning of devotion and the power of Shiv. Love and tolerance are virtues that stay forever.”

Rajyoga meditation session held

In the evening, another function was held to meditate on the teachings of Shiv where UT adviser Manoj Parida was the chief guest with MC additional commissioners Saurabh Mishra and Anil Kumar Garg as the guest of honour. All dignitaries agreed that peace was the way forward for the world and the Brahmakumaris was doing a good job in this direction. Brahma kumari Neha conducted a 10-minute Rajyoga mediation session for all present. This was well-appreciated by the audience.

11th International Yoga Day Celebration at Chandigarh

Chandigarh Celebrates 11th International Yoga Day with Enthusiastic Participation

Chandigarh, June 21:
On the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga, Chandigarh witnessed large-scale celebrations, marked by enthusiasm and active participation from citizens and dignitaries alike.

Brahma Kumaris Chandigarh Organizes Special Yoga Day Program
Brahma Kumaris Chandigarh held a collective yoga program at the scenic Terraced Garden in Sector 33-A. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Sh. S.K. Jain, IPS – Director General of Police, Haryana, and Sh. Jagdish Singh Sarpal, President of the Sector 33 Residents Welfare Association. Joining them on stage were BK Uttra Didi, BK Anita Didi, BK Kavita Didi, and BK Arun Bhai. Around 1000 BKs performed yoga practice in this event.
This year’s global theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” was emphasized throughout the session, highlighting yoga’s role in promoting holistic well-being and environmental harmony.

Chandigarh Administration Leads Grand Celebration at Tiranga Urban Park
Simultaneously, the Chandigarh Administration and the Department of AYUSH hosted a large-scale event at Tiranga Urban Park, Sector 17. The Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, led the celebrations as Chief Guest.
Prominent dignitaries in attendance included Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla, Home Secretary Mandeep Singh Brar, Finance Secretary Diprava Lakra, Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav, Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar, and Health Secretary Ajay Chagti, along with several senior officials from the UT Administration.

Over 2,000 yoga enthusiasts from various sectors participated in the mass yoga session, making the event a resounding success. Notably, around 100 members of the Brahma Kumaris also took part in the collective yoga practice, showcasing their commitment to spiritual and physical well-being.

Both events reflected Chandigarh’s growing engagement with yoga as a means to foster a healthier, more mindful society.

राजयोगिनी बी.के. उत्तरा दीदी एवं राजयोगिनी अनीता दीदी को योग महोत्सव 2025 में सम्मानित किया गया

मंगलवार, 27 मई 2025 को पंचकूला स्थित इंद्रधनुष ऑडिटोरियम में अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस 2025 से 25 दिन पूर्व योग महोत्सव का भव्य आयोजन हुआ। यह महोत्सव आयुष विभाग, हरियाणा सरकार एवं हरियाणा योग आयोग द्वारा ‘सूर्य नमस्कार-2025’ के विजेताओं के सम्मान समारोह के रूप में आयोजित किया गया था।

इस अवसर पर हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री भ्राता नायाब सिंह सैनी ने राजयोगिनी बी.के. उत्तरा दीदी (डायरेक्टर, पंजाब ज़ोन) एवं राजयोगिनी अनीता दीदी (डायरेक्टर, पंचकूला) को उनकी निःस्वार्थ सेवा, अडिग समर्पण एवं मानवता के आध्यात्मिक उत्थान के प्रति आजीवन प्रतिबद्धता के लिए सम्मानित किया।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने ‘सूर्य नमस्कार-2025’ अभियान में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले हरियाणा के विभिन्न जिलों से आए 264 प्रतिभागियों को भी सम्मानित किया।

इस समारोह में कई विशिष्ट अतिथियों की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति रही, जिनमें प्रमुख रूप से शामिल थे:

मुख्यमंत्री सैनी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि हरियाणा योग आयोग का गठन प्रदेश में योग को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से किया गया है, और हरियाणा देश का एकमात्र राज्य है जहाँ योग को शैक्षिक पाठ्यक्रम में शामिल किया गया है।

स्वास्थ्य मंत्री आरती सिंह राव ने योग महोत्सव 2025 को अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस की तैयारियों का एक महत्वपूर्ण चरण बताया। इस अवसर पर अन्य अधिकारियों एवं योग आयोग के प्रतिनिधियों ने भी अपने विचार साझा किए।

सूर्य नमस्कार-2025’ महोत्सव भारत की प्राचीन योग विरासत को जन-जन तक पहुँचाने का एक सशक्त प्रयास रहा, जो समाज के हर वर्ग को योग से जोड़ने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल है।
